The Art and The Church

Victory Ubelt is a campus church. It is strategically placed in the heart of University Belt. This time 350, 000 students are studying in the area and are increasing in numbers every year.  

Currently, 5 youth services are being conducted that average more or less 4,000 every week. 

The church envisions having a MEGA CAMPUS MINISTRY, wherein every student can and will have a personal encounter with Christ. We have a unique culture and context. Our main strategy is our youth service itself. We let students come to us.  The challenge for us, though, is to continually be relevant to the students. “We-used-to-come-there” statements are the least impression we want to hear and then no more. We want every student to feel that this is the place where they can meet God; A place where they can find friends who can help them as they walk with God through victory groups.  With that, we need a hook that will make them stick.  

Victory Ubelt is the mother church of more than 80 churches worldwide. We are all been part of victory ubelt, some are once a student here before settling to other place or planting a church to different parts of the world.  Though victory u-belt is now in 26 years of experience, we are like starting up a new season with  fresh creativity.  New generation continuing  the mission of reaching the students for Christ. Creative Team Ubelt is not expert in this innovation. We are just privilege to be given this opportunity to be used in advancing God’s kingdom in this phenomenal growth we are experiencing right now. 

In history, Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo & many famous artists helped Christianity to be well known to the world. Sistine chapel is one of the greatest examples that attracted people to the church. The Creative Team has the same role today. We have the ability to draw people's attention & to prepare them to hear God's Word. We are making use of our gifts to mark history and to touch people’s life.

If you think of it, the work seems complicated. Every month we have to find something new that would click. We are not about chasing what is cool; we are still a church that preaches God’s word. It is still about making disciples.  We are growing because of the God who always goes ahead before us, not because of the packaging. We are just an additional flavor, not the main dish.
